I analyzed a blog by Rachel Miller. She focuses her blog on how communications can strengthen a business or company. She talks about different fields in communications such as apps, teams, conferences, PR, etc. The blog is to explain how communications can help improve such ways of communicating.

She wrote a blog called, "How to help team leaders communicate". She focuses on managers and how their communication can be improved with their employees. She emphasizes "with" their team, not "to" their team.  She uses statistics to explain her reasoning, which I really appreciate, and uses them as visual aids. So, this prevents us from having to read the statistics (and get bored), because she lays them out flat for us. She also uses a lot of references to help back herself up. There are a lot of visuals with color, which makes reading her blog more entertaining.

I appreciate her blog, because as we know communications can be kind of overwhelming at times. She breaks it down to sections of communications that could be helpful to beginners or professionals. She focuses on things such as, a page strictly for knowing how to use your communication skills. In this post, she measures communications with legos. Part of her post says, "pieces of information that are scattered inside an organisation. Our role as professional communicators is to examine and assemble them in the correct way to show an accurate picture. It’s not about making things fit awkwardly, but gathering the pieces of feedback, ideas and proof, and assembling them to depict your culture and the way things happen in your organisation (how to measure...). I'm a visual person when it comes to learning, so comparing communications to legos is really helpful. She makes us learn by making it more entertaining. Kind of the same concept as Dr. Vrooman's zombie approach.

All her blogs are related to communications some way or another. She doesn't just write about this field in a boring way, which is why I enjoy her work. She keeps it entertaining, and easy to read. Everything is also modern, which I feel is important when blogging. Keeping up with the latest ideas and practices is essential to keeping your audience interested, and keeping your blog popular or readable.
I feel she does a great job getting her points across, while keeping it simple and clean.
