I'm not a huge fan of walking in the pasture when it is really muddy, and it wouldn't be relaxing at all because I would be covered in mud. So, in replace of my initial plan, I went to the barn to see the horses and I sat inside the barn and just reflected on what this place used to mean to me. Since, I've got older, I don't spend a lot of time at the barn anymore. It was nice to be there are just absorb the atmosphere. The rain made it amazing too, because I love the rain.

Contact and Text Excercises

I have a hard time coming up with things in the moment and I’m really awkward. I try not to be, I think it just comes with time and practice. I feel uncomfortable with touching people but I know it’s doing something good for me. I can just feel it. I like the text excercise better. I actually think it’s kind of fun.

Artist Work Book Week 8

For week eight,  I enjoyed activity #2. It asked what would I have been if I had perfect nurturing. I pointed out that if I had perfect nurturing, I probably wouldn't respect the things I do as much, such as the things I have to work for. I correlate the perfect nurturing with being spoiled. I would be given everything and not disciplined.

Working out Monday and Wednesday

Image
So Monday and Wednesday I did the same workout because I felt the burn. I jogged up and down the driveway like I did last time, and on the picnic table, I jumped up off the ground onto the spot you sit over and over. I was a good work out for my legs. Then, on the fence line, I did lunged once up and down the fence line. My legs felt like jello so I did this again on Wednesday.

Getting back on track

Getting back on track wasn't really that difficult for me. I did eat a little worse than usually during Spring Break but it didn't make me feel very well, so it wasn't hard to change. The only major change I had was my stress. Since I was eating bad, I was more stressed and not able to cope with things going on, so I'm hoping my body balances soon.

Class Requests

I don't have any requests. I would like to thank you for letting me work out outside rather than the gym at school. I get a lot more motivated being outside and being where I'm comfortable to go hard.

Artist Date

Image
I did my artist date this Monday because it has been my only off (yay), and I sat outside in the grass and just absorbed the air without answering any texts or phone calls. This last week has been so crazy with work and trying to plan my sisters baby shower that I literally haven't had time to relax. I've also been trying to squeeze in my senior seminar in between all of this. With everything that is going on, my dog is my saving grace. I sat in the grass with her and just watched her munch on this stick that was too big for her, and it just brought up my spirits. It's the little things in life.  I

Working Out Thursday the 8th and 9th

Image
I've been working out at my house. I have a long drive way so I run up and down the driveway way for a work-out. When I am done with my run, I do lunges and crunches in the grass. I like this a lot more than the gym at the school, because I know no one is watching me in my own environment.

For my artist date, I walked around campus and took some pictures of the wonderful flowers that the campus has planted. I don't ever just stay on campus if I don't have to, because my community is outside of the university. I enjoyed hanging around campus and seeing all the flowers though.

Artist Way Workbook

For week #7, I enjoyed activity #1 because who doesn't enjoy doodling? I liked the quote that the author asked us to decorate because I feel this is something everyone struggles with. We forget how important and fragile we are.

Class Requests

I don't have any class requests. Lately, class has been really uncomfortable for me. I am very uncomfortable with touching people, especially people I don't know. This is an adjustment for me, which I'm sure is good for me somehow.

Artist Way Workbook

For week 6, I did activity #2, because I really enjoyed it. I didn't cook that much until I was in this class, and I've realized that I really like it. I made homemade brownies for this activity because I know an easy recipe, and I knew my fiancé would enjoy them. I only took a bite of them because I am trying to eat better (which I am doing really well at this). I enjoyed this activity because it gave me time to myself and I was making someone happy out of it. I've realized that cooking is kind of relaxing, especially if its for you or you're close family. It also gives my fiancé and I time to bond while were eating (not just the brownies but any meal).

Class Requests

Image
I don't have any class requests. I think the class is going really well for me and I've actually lost 5 pounds in the last 2 weeks just by watching what I'm eating and working out on campus. This is a photo I took jogging the country track. I do 4- 5 laps and I love it because it feels so good outside. I started this week doing this twice a week.

Something I Want To Adopt

I want to adopt being a better listener to my fiancé. I know that I get in my moods and I don't really listen well to what he's telling me. I think its both a problem that we have. Especially when we are stressed out about work or homework. I take my stress home with me and it makes me not want to listen and just be by myself. I want to be better about this.
